DELIVERY CONTEXT

Reconfigured During Construction

The project originated as a multiunit residential development before being reconfigured into a Holiday Inn hotel and subsequently transformed again during construction into Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes — now positioned as the first and largest premium hotel in northern Adelaide.

These evolving commercial and operational conditions required substantial functional replanning, hospitality redesign, and redevelopment of guestroom, public area, circulation, and back-of-house planning strategies while delivery activities were already progressing.

InDezin led functional planning and interior design redevelopment, restructuring the operational logic of the building to improve hospitality functionality, circulation efficiency, and long-term operational performance while supporting increased room yield and premium brand positioning.

Elemental Infinity coordinated FF&E procurement, supply interfaces, installation sequencing, and delivery coordination aligned with revised programme and operational requirements.

Functional Planning That Delivers Performance

The project required substantial redevelopment of the original planning approach to support the operational demands of a premium hospitality environment while increasing room capacity and improving efficiency outcomes across both guest and service environments.

Functional planning strategies focused on:

  • Room yield optimisation

  • Circulation efficiency

  • BOH operational functionality

  • Hospitality workflow integration

  • Public area usability

  • Long-term operational practicality

This repositioned the project from a conventional conversion exercise into a strategically re-engineered hospitality asset.
